HISTORY
We are an international brand with more than 100 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of propellers and ship propulsion components.
The story of Rice began in 1909, when Don Maximino Rice founded the company in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, as a small artisan foundry. His son, Don Luis Rice, took the reins and industrialized the production process, setting the foundation for future growth. The third generation, led by Don Andrés Rice, modernized the infrastructure and introduced process improvements that positioned Fundiciones Rice as a national benchmark. Later, Lic. Humberto Rice and Eng. José Luis Rice (“Peche”) took the company global, expanding its presence across the Americas and beyond with high-quality propellers and propulsion systems.
For over 100 years, Rice was not only a symbol of Mazatlán’s metalworking industry but also a cornerstone for thousands of workers, clients, and partners. Today, its legacy continues under Rice Propulsion, now part of the Spanish group VICUSdt / Grupo Emenasa, committed to a future of innovation with the same dedication as always.
